The main purpose of food packaging is to ensure that the product reaches the consumer in a safe, high quality and nutritional value. Food packaging raw materials consist of materials such as metal, glass, ceramics, alloys, plastics, rubber, paper and cardboard. The Turkish Food Codex, known as the Food Packaging Regulation, has determined the characteristics at all stages in the production, processing and distribution of food in the Regulation on Substances and Materials in Contact with Food.
